The weather in Cabarete is usually sunny and warm ranging from 75F-85F. In the winter, evening temperatures can drop into the 60’s, so, a jacket or sweater is advisable in the evenings.  There are occasional showers, but they usually last only a few moments.  This is very typical of most tropical locations. Care must be given to the very strong sun. Please don’t try to get all of your tan the first day or you will regret it for the rest of your stay. One to two hours is plenty of time to spend on the beach in a day; less, if it has been months, or longer, since your body has seen the summer or tropical sun. Don’t forget the sunblock!
